They don’t call Chattanooga the Scenic City for nothing. Beautiful sunset from Signal Mountain.

I have been working on a blog about our trip to Abingdon for a week and I keep coming up with new things to add. Even though we were there for five days we still didn’t do all we wanted to do. We have already added a return trip to our calendar. Here’s a preview of this charming little town and I am crossing my fingers I will have the blog finished by Wednesday.

Today is our last day in beautiful Sumter County and at the historic Windsor Hotel. We had a wonderful time!

Delicious chicken and waffles from Chick-N-Little in Abingdon, Virginia. This cute little diner is easy to find in downtown and oh so good. Steve had a traditional breakfast and I was a little jealous of his food. There’s a reason why the parking lot was always full when we passed by. It’s just one of the many reasons you should plan a visit to Abingdon!

We are in Americus, Georgia for a few days. I have to say this hotel is the bomb, if people still say that. Watch our story to keep up with our journey. And we will have our first blog on our recent trip to Abingdon, Virginia up this weekend!

We learn a lot of history on our journeys, as we did on our day trip to Dayton, Tenn.
