Trying out new food and restaurants is so much fun when you travel. But when you are diabetic, it can be challenging. First, I know a lot of people have diabetes and "just get through it." Some of us struggle more. I am one of those people. I enjoy sweets and I like to try things that are not exactly diabetic-friendly.
Y’all probably get tired of seeing birds on here but I love them. It’s one of the things I am most looking forward to on our upcoming beach trip. I managed to catch this beauty with what we call my “big girl” camera at a lake near our house. He looks like he is smiling to me.
I love this picture of Steve because it looks like he’s trying to catch a wave without a surfboard. It’s been a while since we have spent time at Georgia’s beautiful beaches. We return next week but we won’t be surfing. Stay tuned.
Happy June! My other love is cross stitching and I make a new table display in our townhouse for each month. I didn’t have a lot of time in May to finish things but I did get this imperfect piece finished, though. June is my mother’s birthday month. The cool thing about this piece is the fabric I used is called Linda, which was her name.
Today is #worldparrotday. I love birds but I am not brave enough to hold them. Steve held not one, but two parrots when we visited ICON Park in Orlando. They were happy to pose at first but then one of them decided something was tasty on his shoulder and hand. Do you love birds?
